The Greatness of the Lord’s Grace
1 min read
And in the midst of the lampstands was one like a Son of Man…His head and hair were white like pure white wool. (Revelation 1:13, 14)
When the Bible speaks of the failure and change of man, it says that his hair turns gray (see Hosea 7:9). In this respect, our Lord does not have a single gray hair. But on the other hand, Proverbs declares that “a gray head is a crown of glory” (Prov. 16:31). Therefore white hair signifies experience, glory, and length of years. It also indicates holiness, because in Isaiah, God promised to wash away man’s sins so that they may become white as snow and as wool (Isa. 1:18). Whenever we remember that our sins are washed white, just as the head and hair of our Lord are white, we should marvel at the greatness of the Lord’s grace.
