God the Father Rejoices
1 min read
And take the fattened calf, slaughter it, and let us eat and rejoice. For this my son was dead and has come to life again, he was lost and has been found. Then they began to make merry. (Luke 15:23, 24)
Let me give you a new thought today, which is the joy of God. On the night I was saved, the more I thought about it, the more I rejoiced and the more I sang. I did not mind even though there was neither poem nor song. And the joy was the joy of having been saved. Nevertheless, this verse of the Bible tells us that it is the father who rejoices. Therefore it is God’s joy in saving a soul that is being expressed here. We usually think, when a sinner is saved, how happy he is, and how happy we are. We fail to realize how God the Father also rejoices when He saves a sinner. If we see this, we can begin to understand the heart of the Father.
